Brochure Design - Picking up a design

KFC Delivery Brochure

Brochure marketing is a good way to reach out new customers and increase sales. A growing number of small businesses use brochure marketing in their day to day business. To get attention of the audiences, a brochure design needs to be creative and eye catchy. Luckily due to it's capabilities and canvas. It can hold more text, images and style elements which means that often there is plenty of room to be creative with a brochure design.

There are many kind brochure designs in use these days. There are single folded brochures which are lighter, cheaper to print and usually very effective. People do not have much time to read lengthy messages, so small amount of text and some pictures on a single folded brochure can be very effective.

On other times there can be double folded, tri-folded and multiple folds brochures. Depending on your business need and the kind of marketing you are targeting. They effectiveness of your message lies in how it is presented but also in how you deliver it concisely.

How to become a Creative Logo Design Artist

Crayola Lincoln Logs

A logo design is usually considered the brand image of an organization. With time and good marketing it becomes one of the most important aspects of their business identity. So naturally when businesses are looking for someone to create a logo design for their business, they want to hire the best people. This logo needs to be unique, smart, and clever. It needs to give the thoughts designed specifically to create a positive image of the business or the brand they are portraying.

For a logo design artist it is difficult to come with great ideas each time they are doing a job. Sometimes they wish they could just finish the logo and call it a day, but of course they can't. There needs to be something unique behind each logo to give it a perspective that speaks of distinction.

The most important of all design rules is to keep things simple. Many logo design artists agree that keeping a simple design approach makes it easier for them to come up with a wonderful idea in less time.

Many good logo designers also suggest that they like to do activities other than design when they are facing the artist's block. They would read a book, watch television, or go outside for a walk.

Some logo design artists suggest that to overcome the artists block one should go visit a museum and see some work done by other artists in many different fields of art.

Why Businesses Should Avoid Logo Design Contests

There are many logo design companies and free lancers fishing their income from logo design contest websites. You would think that they are there to build their portfolios or to make new contacts. But no they are not, in fact their entire business model is built upon earning via contests.

These so called logo design companies out source all their design work to countries like China and India. There they have teams of bidders who follow design contest websites 24/7. Whenever a new logo design or web design job is posted on these sites they give it to their inexperienced amateur designers who use always ready templates to recreate a logo and then they quickly submit it for the contest.

Doing so they not only destroy the reputation of the contests which were started to provide low cost services to nonprofit and community run organizations. But they also cause harm to genuine graphic designers who are actually on these sites to build their portfolio for custom logo design services.

Such logo designs will actually cause harm to your corporate brand and identity. There are also legal issues of copyright involved. The biggest fear that you may face is that some one suing your company for copyright infringement. Since, you can not hold them liable there is no way you can ask them to pay you for the damage.

Logo Design Artists A blog for Logo Designers

Hello and welcome to the Logo Design Artists. It is a blog about Logo design artists to appreciate the find work they are doing with out getting any proper recognition from the design community. And the art community, well to be very honest they dont' even consider us artists. We are called geeks who create twisted colorful images using automated programs and we do that for corporations without getting any credit.

I personally believe that logo design artists should get due credit for their work. Specially when their work is used endlessly and brings wonderful results to ogranizations or businesses who hired the artists to create these images. Designers deserve to be appreciated and compensated based on the quality and success of their work.

A logo design is not just about creating pretty pictures for greedy corporations. Logo design is about giving an identity to a business, to deliver its message to viewers, to promote the brand and products, and to create a good will for the organization it was created for. It brings customers and businesses closer and helps them build a relationship based on trust. This blog will try to achieve the goal of appreciating the fine work of these great artists who can bring magic to the real world by just using Adobe Illustrator and photoshop.
